Description

While exploring the attractions of the San Francisco Botanical Garden, you will be pleasantly surprised by the many entertainment and sights that transcend the spectacular waves of greenery alone. Among the things you might want to do during your visit to the Botanical Garden :

a) Visit the Garden Bookstore: Carry a gift when you buy calendars, notepads and placards. Various book names are also waiting for you, covering themes such as organic gardening, medicinal herbs, botanical arts and gardening decoration.

b) Experience the Library: The Helen Crocker Russell Horticultural Library, whose history begins in 1972, is the biggest gardening library in north-central California. Its walls hold 27,000 books and 450 vegetable and garden publications. There is even something for kids to look at if the children’s botany library has 1300 books.

с) Get a plant: For those who want to make their garden more savory, the San Francisco Botanical Garden is a great chance to take home plants that rarely decorate the choices available in retail nurseries and garden plots. Saturday night sales have been quite conventional, with plants taking place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nursery, situated on the southwestern corner of the Garden.

d) Experience a colorful stroll: Free guided excursions are a great walk packed with learning and satisfied messengers.
