Los Alamitos Ranch

Contact

Long Beach is home to two homemade buildings that represent the natural and artistic transformations that have taken place in California since the Spanish colonization era, across the Mexican geographic landscape, and in present-day America. The Los Alamitos Ranch (Little Cotton Ranch) started at the beginning of the 19th century as a plain unburned building providing a cattle ranch facility. Subsequently, the property was turned into an exquisite 18-room ranch by the owners.

In the beginning of the 20th century, the territory was covered with large gardens. In the 1960s, the Bixby family presented the ranch and land to Long Beach City.

Los Alamitos Ranch is located at 6400 Bixby Hill Rd. and . object is available from Monday to Sunday from 13:00 to 17:00. To learn more about Los Alamitos Historic Ranch, call 562-431-3541 or visit the museum's website;
