The mission of the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum is to encourage human beings to be in harmony with the universe of nature, bringing them love, gratitude and appreciation for the Sonoran Desert. Objects reconstruct the wildlife scenery of the Sonoran Desert Region so true that you face the mountain lions, steppe dogs, Gil monsters and many other things. On the property you can find over 300 kinds of animals and 1200 types of flora. There are nearly 2 miles of paths that intersect 21 acres of spectacular desert.

Established in 1952 by William X. Carr and Arthur N. Pak, the museum is actually home to the Koati Exposition, a group of animals that hunt for their meal during their holidays in the remarkable Sycamore Canyon, situated on the border of Arizona and Mexico, which truly made it one of the world’ s top ten zoological places.
