Downing Children’s Garden

You can experience the magic of childhood under the worm-colored rainbow at Tangning Children’s Park at Botanica. Follow the yellow stems of the Rainbow Trail. Follow the path to the fountain in Himawari Square. Discover the devil’s forest and skip the jump stream.

China Friendship Garden

Welcome to the Chinese Friendship Garden in the Botanical Garden. To pay homage to Wichita’s sister city Kaifeng, the Botanical Garden displays traditional Chinese gardens in a magnificent display of art and architecture.

Shakespeare’s Garden

Shakespeare Garden in Botanica blends typical Elizabethan formal gardens and bungalow gardens. Standing upstairs, you will see a well balanced symmetrical stone path.

Bird park in the woods

The forest bird garden winds around the top of the bridge overlooking the valley, providing you with a relaxing spot where you can forage and observe various birds, animals and plants.

Butterfly garden

Botanica’s Butterfly Garden collects, maintains and encourages local and migratory butterfly populations. In this garden, nectar plants are planted on the flower beds to provide flowers that can feed the butterflies.

Margie Button Memorial Fountain and Garden

The Margie Button Memorial Fountain is surrounded by the Jesse Woolridge Brosius rose garden and is one of Botanica’s most loved fountains.

Garden Terrace Martha Pariot

Concerts, events and weddings are often held on Martha Pariot’s garden and terrace stage.

Koi Pond Pavilion

Koi Pond Pavilion at the highest point of Botanica. The glass walls and windows of the building overlook Boeing Pond. The seats on the screened deck offer panoramic views.

Jane Milburn Aquatic Collection

Botany in the interior of Kansas has an excellent collection of plants from Jane Milburn’s collection of aquatic animals. The mahogany walk above Boeing Pond makes you feel like you are walking in the wetlands of spring and summer.
