Shadows on the Teche

Shadows is located in New Iberia’s main drag, was built in 1834 by David Weeks, a sugar producer, and sits among towering oak trees covered in Spanish moss on the Bayutesh shore. Designated as the first National Trust Historic Site Reserve in South Bay, Shadows is a classic revival home with a Louisiana colony floor plan and a magnificent garden similar to the history preserved here.
