Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center is an educational and entertainment institution located just 5 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. Here it is possible to practice various activities such as trekking, bird watching, mountain biking, canoeing, turtles, birds of prey and wolves. The 317-acre site has a nature center to help you enjoy the exhibit and accommodation from the friendly staff.
Characteristics of the structure
This is the starting point of an elegant three-mile long dirt road, where you can drive, walk, run or cycle through idyllic meadows and centuries-old woods. The walkway over the Lookout Creek Wetland connects to Discovery Treehouse and Paddler’s Perch. There is also a dock for canoes (in this season, contact us for rent at the Nature Center). On the low slopes of the mountain there are 15 kilometers of trails suitable for hiking and running.
Easily connect to trails in the adjacent national park, such as the Skyuka Springs traill, the Lower Track Trail, and the famously steep Gum Springs Trail, which can climb Sunset Rock. Kids love the local animal show, where interesting creatures such as red wolves, bald eagles, bobcats and sandhill cranes can be encountered. Imagine a moment when the forest is dense as you hear the wolf call. Reflection rides with a rich history include restored cabins, Confederate battles used during the Civil War, and ancient trails that Buffalo and Native Americans walked hundreds of years ago.
Regardless of age or ability, this is a place that everyone can appreciate. Whether you are with your family or alone, it is a good place to walk, run, relax and get to know nature.
