Mesa Temple Gardens

Average Reviews

The temple in Mesa was among the first churches built.
In keeping with the previous traditions of temple construction, the new temple in Mesa has become the heart of an organized and designed community for believers who live close to it. When completed in 1927, it was the third biggest church used by the church and the biggest outside of Utah, and remains one of the biggest temples built to this day.

The Temple of Mesa was closed in February 1974 for a major renovation that included movie screening rooms, a new entryway, and an extra 17,000 square feet (1600 m2), resulting in more spacious dressing rooms and more sealing rooms. In May 2018, the temple was closed for reconstruction, which is planned to be finished in 2020. When the reconstruction is completed, an open public day will be held, followed by a reminder dedication of the temple.

Public exhibitions and events

To the North of the temple is a public space where visitors can enjoy frescos, videos, exhibitions and other events.During Christmas, there is a light exposition and a Christmas scene. At the end of March and beginning of April, the temple is holding the Easter in Mesa, which gathers about 150,000 people.
