The Koko Crater Botanical Garden is definitely in an interesting place. Literally, it is located in the crater of the last active volcano on Oahu. It covers an area of 60 acres and now has an additional 140 acres. This 200-acre piece of land was preserved in 1958, providing a place for Hawaii’s endangered vegetation. It has not been fully developed, but there are still many beautiful examples. The beautiful scenery of trees and various flowers and plants has exuded a sweet smell. Along the Koko Head railway trail, you will see the botanical garden in the distance. Like other botanical gardens in Hawaii, the unique plants here are more exciting than a simple botanical garden stroll.
The Koco Crater Trail takes 30 minutes to an hour to reach the summit. It takes about 30 minutes to an hour to reach the top of the mountain, but before going down the mountain, please take another hour to relax.
