The Seattle Japanese Garden is a 3.5-acre city sanctuary. Winding paths and benches give you a slow and heartfelt view of the garden, with every detail of stones, water, lanterns, bridges, buildings, plants and animals. It responds to the changes of the four seasons, and you can have a fresh and unique experience every time you visit.
Plan ahead and enjoy a perfect garden tour. The Seattle Japanese Garden will be reopened in March 2021. We look forward to your return to the Japanese garden, which has been socially distant next spring.
Enrich your experience by participating in numerous educational programs and festivals. From gardening workshops to traditional Japanese events, the content is enjoyable for people of all ages.
