The Deepwood Museum and Garden (formerly the Historic Deepwood Estate, or Deepwood for short) is a historic residence located in Salem, Oregon, USA. The house was built by Dr. Luke A. Port. Construction began in 1893 and was completed in 1894. Since 1974, this historic home and site has been managed by the non-profit organization Deepwood Friends and owned by the City of Salem. Designed by William C. Knighton at the request of the first house, he was responsible for the landscape design.
Deepwood occupies 5 acres and can provide a wide range of outdoor experiences. Being a park in Salem, the Deepwood site is open to the public for free all year round.
This open area is for community use, with picnic tables and beautiful trees and flowers. The greenhouse and information kiosk are located next to the public toilets, right next to the parking lot.
