Denver Botanic Gardens

The most important botanical garden of America in the Rocky Mountains, designed by Garrett Ekbo. It is a shame that other botanical gardens no longer call on the services of experienced designers – more like museums are used to construct and redesign buildings without consulting architects. In Denver, there is also a demonstration garden that shows how to manage the plantations to save water

The indoor and outdoor landscaped garden is recognized as one of the best botanical gardens in the United States and a true innovator in water saving. The garden’s live collections, authorized by the American Museum Association, contain plant samples from the tropics to the tundra and show a range of plants selected to grow in Colorado’s semi-arid environment.

Located on 23 hectares in the city center, the vibrant municipal park oasis of gardens provides memorable experiences with a unique horticultural adventure for the entire families and world-class training and exploration programs in the area of plant conservation. Other locations at the Denver Botanical Gardens in Chatfield, 750 hectares of wilderness and a local plant reservation in Jefferson County, and Mount Goliath, an elevated path and interpretation center on the Mount Evans Scenic Byway, further enhance this experience over the front ridge.
