Dawes Arboretum enriches people’s lives by protecting trees and nature. The botanical garden was founded in 1929 by Beman and Bertie Dawes, and was born out of a love for trees and nature. Today it fulfills its mission by providing excellent educational programs and activities and maintaining an excellent gardening collection. The arboretum covers an area of approximately 2,000 acres, with beautiful gardens, an excellent collection of plants and a unique natural area.
On this site, you can explore 12,978 field-harvested plants (including 7,535 images) in the botanical garden. This site provides information on gardening only.
