Cantigny Park was opened to the public in 1958 and features the following facilities: including the Robert R. McCormick Museum, First Class Museum, Cantigny Gardens and Trails, Visitor Center, Education Center, Cantigny Golf. Whether it’s a museum, a golf course or a special event, you can visit Cantigny Park and you will be drawn in by its beautiful scenery. In the famous park garden, you can enjoy the beauty of four seasons throughout the year.
Cantigny’s large-scale garden restoration project, Project New Reef, provides new gardening facilities that are worth visiting. Walking in parks and gardens is a sensory pleasure and relieves the stress of everyday life. Why don’t you like birdwatching with binoculars? Cantigny is a great place for bird watching, especially in spring and fall. The site has various excellent habitats and has been designated as a certified Audubon Cooperative Reserve.
If you want to go bird watching with others, you can visit the bird trail in the park that the Dupage Bird Watching Club belongs to. This walk is free and beginners welcome. When accompanied by an adult, we welcome children over the age of 8. First Division Museum Learn about the history of World War I as you visit the First Division Museum. See, touch, ride and learn about the tanks used in battle during WWI and WWII. Don’t miss the rerun of the two-day Revolutionary War held every September. This event is one of the most popular and attended events in Cantigny.
Cantigny is listed as one of the “Top Ten Golf Places” by Golf Advisors and is one of the best golf courses in the Midwest. Throughout the year, Cantiny hosts many special events, concerts, weddings, birthday parties, museum visits, lectures, gardening workshops and fitness classes.
